Part-time Housekeeper
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The primary functions and responsibilities of this position are as follows. Additional duties may be added as necessary to meet the needs of the facility. You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.
1) Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, washing windows, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning upholstery, cleaning light fixtures, cleaning bathroom fixtures.
2) Perform floor care such as dust-mop, wet-mop, spot-mop, and strip/seal/wax/buff.
3) Empty trash containers, replace liners as appropriate and dispose of trash in proper receptacle.
4) Dispense soap, paper towels, tissue and other supplies to resident rooms and general use areas.
5) Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
6) Use chemicals and supplies according to instructions and with proper protective equipment; report any problems immediately.
7) Operate housekeeping equipment safely, according to instructions and with proper precautions.
8) Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
9) Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions.
10) Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment.
11) Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
12) Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
13) Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
14) Perform related duties or projects as assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1) Observe and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations to ensure that personal health information is protected during its collection, use, disclosure, storage and destruction within Prairie View; and to ensure only the minimum necessary information is known to function in this position.
2) Assume accountability for compliance with Federal, State and other regulations within scope of control and of which informed.
3) Observe safety hazards and emergency situations, and reports to appropriate person or takes corrective action according to established procedures; works safely without danger to self or others.
4) Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
5) Maintain confidentiality or resident, employee and other facility business information.
6) Assume accountability for using, maintaining and storing facility property according to established procedures.
7) Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality and comply with attendance policy.
8) Accept assigned duties, instructions, or correction in a cooperative manner, voicing concerns or disagreement in a professional manner through established chain of authority according to established procedures.
9) Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
10) Assume accountability for data contained in the employees' handbook
11) Practice infection control, universal precautions, and other preventive/protective and safety procedures as instructed.
12) Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times.
13) Be responsible for the safety of residents related to housekeeping duties.
14) Observe all facility policies and procedures.
15) Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
16) Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
Part-time Day Dietary Aide
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The primary functions and responsibilities of this position are as follows: additional duties may be
added as necessary to meet the needs of the facility. You will be evaluated on your ability to
perform these functions completently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.
1) Prepare/setup or assist with special meals, desserts, etc…
2) Setup or assist with setting up of the dining room.
3) Keep items refilled in the dining room.
4) Observe meals and offer extra nourishments to people not eating.
5) Oversee kitchen activities.
6) Gathering of temp records in department, reviewing and filing.
7) Ordering of supplies, checking in and storing.
8) Putting monthly calendars for recording temps & cleaning check offs.
9) Overseeing in dining room that things are running smoothly.
10) Assist Dietary Manager to ensure that policy & procedures are being followed.
11) Preparing schedule and assist with filling in hours.
12) Assist Dietary Manager to ensure that the kitchen staff is following local, state,and
federal healthcode guidelines.
13) Taking calls from staff after hours and on weekends, including 1st to cover shifts then
Dietary Manager unless on vacation.
14) All other duties as assigned.
