All positions are extremely important and change the daily lives of the elderly throughout our campus. The Personal Service Assistant or PSA is a position at our Assisted Living. As a Personal Service Assistant (PSA) your role will be to assist tenants with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help.
Full-Time Personal Service Assistant (PSA) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist tenants with dressing & undressing
- Assist tenants with bathing
- Assist with personal hygiene
- Assist with the care of ADL devices such as eyeglass, contact lenses, hearing aids to assure resident safety
- Aid with telephone activities
- Aid with housekeeping tasks
- Aid with laundry tasks
- Observe and report changes in tenant’s conditions to RN Program Coordinator, as needed
- Conduct room checks and resident rounds
- Assist in a variety of tasks related to dining
- Serve tenants their meals
- Prepare breakfast meals per tenants’ request
- Wait on tenants while they dine
- Clean up kitchen and dining room area after meals per cleaning schedule
- Responsible for participating in and supporting the scheduled weekly activities
Full-Time Personal Service Assistant (PSA) REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Med Manager Certification or willingness to take Med Manager Course upon hire
- Think, act & intervene independently in routine and emergency situations
- Self-motivated and function as a responsible person
- Work flexible hours
- Proficient interpersonal relationships and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately

The primary purpose of the Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents’ assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by supervisor or the charge nurse.
Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify resident problems and concerns and report them immediately to the charge nurse or D.O.N.
- Provide ADL assistance to residents as determined by the care plan, including, but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and ambulating
- Assure residents call lights are at hand and answer them promptly
- Conduct rounds as assigned and perform bed checks, repositioning residents as needed
- Complete documentation accurately, timely and following facility policies and procedures.
- Utilize special equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Be responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision
Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) REQUIREMENTS:
- Current, valid Iowa Nursing Assistant Certification (or willingness to receive within 4 months of hire)
- Follow written and oral directions from Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse and/or Administrator
- Work cooperatively with residents, charge nurses, other C.N.A.’s, consultant personnel and other facility staff members.

Part-time Independent Living Cook
Prairie View Campus is a five-star facility offering a continuum of care. At Prairie View Campus we show great appreciation for our staff, knowing we couldn’t take care of our beloved residents without them. All positions are extremely important and change the daily lives of the elderly throughout our campus. This part-time cook position is at our independent living (Prairie View Manor).
Part-Time Manor Cook RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare homestyle meals for tenants
· Keep the kitchen and workspace clean and orderly
· Communicate with and serve tenants
Part-Time Manor Cook REQUIREMENTS:
· Available two to three days a week 3pm to 6:30pm
· Available every third weekend 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 6:30pm
· Cooking experience may be helpful but is not required
· Work well with coworkers, supervisors, tenants, and tenants’ families
· Great attendance and punctuality
