The primary purpose of the Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents’ assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by supervisor or the charge nurse.
Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify resident problems and concerns and report them immediately to the charge nurse or D.O.N.
- Provide ADL assistance to residents as determined by the care plan, including, but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and ambulating
- Assure residents call lights are at hand and answer them promptly
- Conduct rounds as assigned and perform bed checks, repositioning residents as needed
- Complete documentation accurately, timely and following facility policies and procedures.
- Utilize special equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Be responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision
Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) REQUIREMENTS:
- Current, valid Iowa Nursing Assistant Certification (or willingness to receive within 4 months of hire)
- Follow written and oral directions from Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse and/or Administrator
- Work cooperatively with residents, charge nurses, other C.N.A.’s, consultant personnel and other facility staff members.

PT Independent Living Cook

All positions are extremely important and change the daily lives of the elderly throughout our campus. This part-time cook position is at our independent living (Prairie View Manor).
Part-Time Manor Cook RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare homestyle meals for tenants
- Keep the kitchen and workspace clean and orderly
- Communicate with and serve tenants
Part-Time Manor Cook REQUIREMENTS:
- Available two to three days a week 3pm to 6:30pm
- Available every third weekend 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 6:30pm
- Cooking experience may be helpful but is not required
- Work well with coworkers, supervisors, tenants, and tenants’ families
- Great attendance and punctuality

FT Day Dietary Aide
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The primary functions and responsibilities of this position are as follows: additional duties may be added as necessary to meet the needs of the facility. You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.
1) Prepare/setup or assist with special meals, desserts, etc…
2) Setup or assist with setting up of the dining room.
3) Keep items refilled in the dining room.
4) Observe meals and offer extra nourishments to people not eating.
5) Oversee kitchen activities.
6) Gathering of temp records in department, reviewing and filing.
7) Ordering of supplies, checking in and storing.
8) Putting monthly calendars for recording temps & cleaning check offs.
9) Overseeing in dining room that things are running smoothly.
10) Assist Dietary Manager to ensure that policy & procedures are being followed.
11) Preparing schedule and assist with filling in hours.
12) Assist Dietary Manager to ensure that the kitchen staff is following local, state, and federal health code guidelines.
13) Taking calls from staff after hours and on weekends, including 1st to cover shifts then Dietary Manager unless on vacation.
14) All other duties as assigned.

1) Observe and abide by all HIPPA rules and regulations to ensure that personal health information is protected during its collection, use, disclosure, storage and destruction within Prairie View; and to ensure only the minimum necessary information is known to function in this position.

Part-time Overnight LPN/RN

All positions are extremely important and change the daily lives of the elderly throughout our campus. Under the Director of Nursing, the Charge Nurse directs the provision of resident care services for a particular shift/unit and supervises the nursing staff assigned to that unit/shift. The Charge Nurse (LPN/RN) will perform direct nursing services to residents, in accordance with individual plans of care and physicians’ orders.
Part-Time Nurse (LPN/RN) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for the safety of the residents under his/her supervision
- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
- Document resident care provided and resident’s response or lack of response to care provided
- Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating action
- Identify problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care and “life-saving” measures in the absence of a physician
- Administer and document resident care, medications, external/parenteral nutritional and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided
- Competently perform basic nursing skills
Part-Time Nurse (LPN/RN) REQUIREMENTS:
- Current, valid Iowa Nurse License
- Current, valid CPR Certification
- Consistently work cooperatively with residents, nursing staff, physicians, families, consultant personnel, community agencies and ancillary service providers
- Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality, complies with attendance policy
